The dance tracks still sound fresh; 'Blame It on the Boogie,' 'Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)'; and the ballads are heartfelt and smooth. Halo 3 Torrent For Mac. This album is a dry run for Michael Jackson's adult solo career. Diablo 2 Resolution Patch Bnet there. The band had left their longtime label Motown in 1976. After a couple of years signed with Philly International, the Jacksons now set their sights on one of CBS Records' most popular labels, Epic. After their last two CBS albums were spearheaded by legendary producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, Epic allowed the Jackson brothers to write and produce their own material fully for the first time in their career. Composing much of the album in their home-made recording studio in their gated Hayvenhurst mansion, the group finished recording the album within two months.

Like many of the acts that have left Motown though, the Jacksons were often dealt with the curse that they would no longer enjoy the success they had while associated with the label basically giving the same response after hearing of longtime front man Michael Jackson's move to a full-fledged solo career a year after this album was released. Released on December 17, 1978, Destiny did what it was supposed to do for the group: re-establish them as a top-selling group.

The album's success was largely based on the second single released from the album, 'Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)', which became a Top 10 single in the spring of 1979. The single, 'Blame It on the Boogie', was also released. The album eventually peaked at number eleven on the Billboard Pop Albums chart and number three on the Billboard Black Albums chart and went on to platinum status cementing it as the first RIAA-certified platinum seller by the Jacksons as most of their Motown recordings were uncertifiable, despite their huge success on the charts. The accompanying tour was a huge success running on many legs and also toured overseas. Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Xbox 360 Iso. In 1978, the Jacksons crossed a critical time. Despite being detached from the label Motown -claiming the brothers little freedom in the composition and arrangement of their songs, as well as maintaining an image that avoided clan members renewing their repertoire and increasing their number of fans-, and being hired by Epic two years earlier, in 1976, with the release of 'The Jacksons', were continuing without acquiring greater role in their own musical work, with the exception of a pair of singles. Furthermore, despite having returned to the charts with exceptional tracks like Enjoy Yourself, Show You the Way to Go or Keep on Dancing, they had not obtained the success that they expected. So, one way or another, after two musical works with Epic, the Jacksons were presented with a challenge of life and death with 'Destiny': yes, at last, they would control the designs of his own facet as songwriters, but with the latent threat of failing miserably in the attempt and, thereby, being dispensed by Epic of their services, marking the end of the road for the clan. But fortunately for them, -and, obviously, for all fans of good music- they were accompanied by an overwhelming success, which presumably they did not know since 1974, with 'Dancing Machine'. And it was the beginning of the glorious reign in the charts of the most brilliant and outstanding member of the group: Michael Jackson.
