I have never found a list for Selmer USA instruments. The Signet was going at least from 1950 per an ad I saw on ebay. Here is a wiki entry on the Selmer operation over the years. I am not sure when the Bach connection was. You can hit the links on the wiki to get more info. Yours may be from the 60's or 70's after the Bach corporation was acquired in 61. Maybe Conn-Selmer, the current group under Steinway ownership may have a list somewhere.

If I find something else, I will add on. There is a passage on the Kirmser's Buescher/Bundy serials that After Selmer purchasd Buescher in 63 the '400' Buescher became the Signet and the 'Aristocrat' became the 'Bundy'; same looks but drastically different bore dimensions. It was a duplicate or stencil of the Blessing Artist - a great all time horn.' I would get in touch with Charmaine, she could probably fill you in with greater detail. Gordonfurr1, I replaced my first trumpet (chrome [!] plated extra cheapo brand trumpet) with a Selmer Signet Special cornet, which got me from 9th grade through 11th grade. It was what I would call an intermediate horn, extremely well-built, good intonation, good sound. A real looker, too; I can see why this trumpet caught your eye.

It did have a meduim bore, which became more easy for me to overblow as I developed as a player. I replaced it with my first Bach trumpet, a Stradivarius Model 37 ML Bore. The starting bid looks right at the moment, so if bidding doesn't get crazy, and there is no reserve, you could have a very nice trumpet. It might have a medium bore, though, if that matters to you.
