How To Install Mercruiser Gimbal Bearing Noise

Pulled the outdrive off my Mercruiser 470 to determine if noise was from engine or outdrive. As soon as it separated, rusty water ran out of the u-joint bellows. Ran it with outdrive off with hose water. No 'clacking' noise. As soon as I saw the rusty water I felt pretty sure it was an outdrive noise. Minecraft Spider Man Texture Pack there. What I found was the gimbal bearing was trashed.

Im pretty sure my gimbal bearing is shot on my 4.3 mercruiser alpha one. A bad gimbal bearing will make noise. Think i have a bad gimbal bearing but. I am replacing gimbal bearing on my alpha drive. In then replace the bearing. The book doesnt.
